From birth, Konstantinos Almiroudis, more commonly known as Kosta, has had a strong family background in the construction and development industries. Born in Queens, NY and raised in Chios, Greece, Kosta has built his own empire with nods to both of his countries. He created his first company at the age of 16 and has run several in the US and Greece since then.

Having strong ties to the Warren and Canton areas, he considered Ohio a third “home”. He met his now wife, Kelli, a Cleveland area native, on holiday in Greece in 2008. Having married in 2010, the natural move was to the Greater Cleveland area, which Kosta was eager to put his touch on. The couple purchased and managed their first property in Lakewood, which they still own to this day under their new company, Almico Properties.

Since its inception, Almico Properties has grown from a company of 60 units to one of over 1,000. In recent years, Kosta’s focus has moved back to his first love of construction. Being the visionary that he is, he has started to renovate forgotten gems of historic Cleveland neighborhoods with his construction company Northern Lights.

Northern Lights was created in 2019 and has successfully completed several projects in the Almico Properties portfolio as well as his current project, the renovation of the Cleveland Landmark, The Masonic Hall Lodge.  In the last few years, Kosta has also acquired an industrial metal powder coating plant called Mesta Imperial Metal Service where he enjoys his role as plant manager.

Since marrying, Kosta and his wife have had three beautiful children who are sure to carry on their family’s legacy and vision. Their children are also the inspiration for the philanthropic non-profit the family has created called The 1 Love whose aim is to create a better tomorrow for those in need.
